KEEP HARBORNE CLEAN
Inconsiderate disposal and discarding of Litter in all its forms including but not limited to cigarette butts, plastic bags, cans, bottles fast food or other containers and packaging has dramatic effects not only having a negative impact on the local environment. It is not only unsightly, causing unpleasant smells but is a real hazard to human health and safety by encouraging the spread of bacteria, disease and vermin. Litter can have a devastating effect on wildlife. Animals can ingest poisonous and other material or become entangled in the discarded items and may be unable to free themselves.
AKAAL SIDHU says:
“Harborne is nationally acknowledged as a pleasant and desirable place to live and we must do all we can to protect and preserve its unique character and keep it clean and free from litter.”
Akaal Sidhu and Cllr John Alden together with other members of the Harborne Ward Conservatives carried out a litter clean up of the Harborne Walkway collecting 11 refuse sacks of rubbish.
Akaal says:
"I take pride in Harborne and I am committed to keeping our environment clean and safe."
