Proposals have been submitted for a change of use from a dwelling house (Use Class C3) to 4-bed HMO (Use Class C4) on Higgins Lane. This means that the house on 79 Higgins Lane will be converted into accommodation for 4 individuals instead.
Residents are concerned that:
- Increased pressure on residential parking if all 4 tenants have cars. Local residential roads are already stretched with parking being a major issue
- Additional pressure on local services including schools and GP Surgeries
- Increase in traffic, parking and related pollution in the area
- The loss of a much-needed family home when housing is in short supply
We would like to hear your views on this matter, whether you support or oppose this application, and the reasons for your views. All comments we receive will be submitted to Birmingham City Council Planning Department.
Any comments need to be submitted by 28th December so that the Planning Committee have all the information they need to make their decision.
